How much does it cost to charter a yacht in Phuket? It depends on where you want to go and on what. Half a day on a speedboat to Coral Island is one thing; a full day on a sailing catamaran to the Phi Phi islands is quite another. We have put the prices for our whole fleet on one page, so you can see at a glance what budget to plan for.
The key thing: you pay for the boat, not per guest. The yacht with its captain and crew is entirely yours, so for a family or a group of friends a private boat often costs less than a shared group tour — and there are no strangers on board. Yacht, speedboat and catamaran charter prices
The most affordable option is a speedboat: it gets you to the nearby islands fast, and half a day is enough for the trip. Yachts and catamarans are the choice for a slow day at sea — shade on deck, room for a large group, and many of them take guests overnight. Island trip prices from Phuket
You choose the route — the crew will take you to the next island or all the way to the Similans. The nearby islands, Coral Island (Koh He) and Raya Yai, suit a half-day trip and cost less. What affects the price of a yacht charter
- Boat type and size. A speedboat costs less than a motor yacht or catamaran, and the bigger the boat, the higher the price.
- Route. Distant islands take longer to reach and burn more fuel, so they cost more than nearby ones.
- Half day or full day. Each boat page lists separate prices for short and full-day routes.
- Season. High season in Phuket runs from November to March: boats for the holidays are booked well ahead, and the price for a particular date may differ. The manager will confirm the exact amount.
- Number of guests. The larger your group, the less it costs per person. Every boat has its own capacity limit, though — a large group needs a bigger boat.
- What is included. Hotel transfer, lunch, drinks, snorkelling and other activities depend on the boat and route and are not always free. The manager will tell you what is included together with the price.
How to book a yacht
Choose a boat in the catalogue and press «Book now», or send a request on the Contacts page or ask for a call back. A manager will get in touch, check that the boat is free on your date and confirm the final price. Once you have chosen a boat, a prepayment is required — that is how the whole market works. From that moment the yacht is reserved for you and the owner turns down other clients for that date. If the trip is cancelled at the last minute, say because of a single cloud in the sky, there is no time to find another charter. The manager will tell you the prepayment amount and refund terms in advance, before you pay.
